I don’t think I have ever loved an entire cast of characters in a book as much as I did these characters. Each and every one of them tugged at my heart strings, especially Landry and sweet Eliza.
A gentle romance mixed with past trauma and some elements of suspense, this book gave all the feels from warm fuzzies to creepy chills. I cried, I laughed, I clutched the pages, and I even forgot to breathe at times.
I LOVED the dialog between everyone! It didn’t feel like reading a book. It felt like standing amongst friends. The banter and teasing between characters gave a warmth that suggested deep roots of comradarie that we, the reader, were giving the utmost privilege to become a part of. This was not a book written for us to read, but a whole world that we were allowed to enter into.
The light elements of suspense and mystery were just enough to keep you on your toes while worrying for the safety of this beloved family and her new friends.
I love the hints of a deeper storyline between many of the characters, and I can not wait for a book 2!
